How to register for the CadÚnico Program?
To register with the Single Registry (CadÚnico), the process is quite simple.
Home visits are often carried out by the municipality, which means you don't need to leave your home to register.
However, if you want to register or regularize your registration more immediately, it is also easy to do. Just look for the CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) in your city or neighborhood.
When registering, you must have a person responsible for your family. This person must be part of the family, be at least 16 years old and live in the same place as the rest of the family group. In addition, you must present your CPF or Voter Registration Card.
In the case of indigenous and quilombola families, documents other than those mentioned above may also be accepted.
See below the documents required for each family member:
- Birth certificate;
- Marriage Certificate;
- CPF;
- Identity Card (RG);
- Indigenous Administrative Birth Certificate (RANI);
- Work Card; or
- Voter Registration Card.
In addition, the person responsible for the family must present proof of address. Although it is not mandatory, having proof of address can help when registering.
Remember the importance of keeping your registration up to date. If your family has not yet received any benefits, it is possible that you may be eligible if there are changes in your family situation, such as a change of address, the birth of a child or the departure of a member of the household.
To update your data, simply go to the nearest CRAS and update your registration.
How do I know if I am subscribed?
There are several ways to check whether your family group is registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico). The main one is through the MeuCadÚnico website, which was made available by the Ministry of Citizenship.
This online platform allows you to make queries quickly and easily. Simply provide your details, such as full name, date of birth and address, and the system will indicate whether your registration is correct.
In addition to the website, CadÚnico also has an app that allows you to check your family's status in a practical way. With the app, you can check whether your registration is up to date, whether there are benefits available and make other relevant queries.
If you prefer, the government has provided a telephone number called 0800 707 2003, which was created specifically to provide assistance and clarify doubts related to CadÚnico. You can contact this number for assistance and additional information.
So, now you are familiar with the CadÚnico program, you know how to register and you also know how to check the status of your registration.
