Furthermore, many social assistance programs require registration in the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs) at the time of application. Therefore, in this article, we will explain how to register for the program. Keep reading to find out!

How do I register for the CadÚnico Program?

To register for the Unified Registry (CadÚnico), the process is quite simple.

Often, home visits are conducted by the municipality, meaning you don't need to leave your home to register.

However, if you wish to register or update your information more quickly, that's also easy to do. Simply contact the CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) in your city or neighborhood.

When registering, it is necessary to have a person responsible for the family. This person must be part of the family, be at least 16 years old, and reside in the same location as the rest of the family group. In addition, it is necessary to present a CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID) or Voter Registration Card.

In the case of indigenous and quilombola families, other documents besides those mentioned above may also be accepted.

See below for the documents required for each family member:

In addition, the head of the family must present proof of address. Although not mandatory, having proof of address can be helpful during registration.

Remember the importance of keeping your registration up to date. If your family has not yet received any benefits, you may become eligible if there are changes in your family situation, such as a change of address, the birth of a child, or a member leaving the household.

To update your information, simply visit the nearest CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) and update your registration.

How do I know if you're registered?

There are several ways to check if your family group is registered in the Unified Registry (CadÚnico). The main one is through the MeuCadÚnico website, which was made available by the Ministry of Citizenship.

This online platform allows you to perform searches quickly and easily. Simply provide your information, such as your full name, date of birth, and address, and the system will indicate whether your registration is correct.

In addition to the website, CadÚnico also has an app that allows you to easily check your family's status. With the app, you can verify if your registration is up-to-date, if there are any available benefits, and perform other relevant queries.

If you prefer, the government provides the toll-free number 0800 707 2003, which was created specifically to answer questions related to the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs). You can contact this number for assistance and additional information.

So now you are familiar with the CadÚnico program, you know how to register, and you also know how to check the status of your registration.
